Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Iñaki Arroyo Nebreda built the Subintervals app as a free app. The service is provided at no cost, with no ads and no required subscription.

This page explains how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed when you use Subintervals.

By using Subintervals, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. Personal information is used to provide and improve the service.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible at Subintervals unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience, Subintervals may use information including email, athleteId, and usage-related technical data. This information is used only for app functionality and support.

Starting with app version 1.10.1, email and athleteId may be processed to associate a voluntary donation or contribution with the corresponding user.

Third-Party Services

The app uses third-party services that may process information needed to deliver specific features:

Log Data

In case of app errors, log data may be collected through Sentry for monitoring and diagnostics. This may include IP address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, time/date of use, and other diagnostic statistics.

Data Retention

Subintervals is designed to access your Intervals.icu training data without maintaining a separate copy on Subintervals servers. Your workouts, activities, and profile information remain stored on Intervals.icu and are subject to Intervals.icu data retention practices.

The following limited information may be retained by Subintervals or its service providers:

  • Device-local data: Authentication tokens and cached app data are stored on your device for as long as the app is installed. This data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear the app's storage.
  • Contribution records: If you make a voluntary contribution, your email and athleteId may be retained to associate the contribution with your account and for purchase record-keeping. These records are retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the transaction and comply with legal obligations.
  • Error and diagnostic logs (Sentry): When the app encounters errors, diagnostic data may be sent to Sentry and retained for up to 90 days for monitoring and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Third-party services: RevenueCat, Mapbox, and Google Play Services may retain data according to their own privacy policies and retention schedules.

Data Deletion

Intervals.icu data: Because your training data is stored on Intervals.icu, managing or deleting that data (including activities, workouts, and account information) should be done through your Intervals.icu account settings or by contacting Intervals.icu directly.

Subintervals-specific data: To request deletion of data that Subintervals or its processors may hold about you (such as contribution records linked to your email and athleteId, or diagnostic logs associated with your usage), email subintervals@inakiarroyo.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

  • The email address associated with your Intervals.icu account (if applicable)
  • Your Intervals.icu athleteId (if known)
  • A brief description of what you would like deleted

We will verify your request and respond within 30 days. After processing, applicable data will be deleted from our systems, and we will instruct relevant third-party processors to delete associated data where feasible.

Local app data: To remove data stored on your device, uninstall the Subintervals app or clear its storage through your device settings.

Revoking access: You can disconnect Subintervals from your Intervals.icu account at any time by revoking the app's authorization in your Intervals.icu settings.
